The Iraca palm or Paja Toquilla is known throughout Colombia. its crops are spread mainly in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, Sucre, Santander, Nariño, and others places in the country.
In Usuacurí Atlantico the Iraca palm is one of the main businesses that mantain lots of families of the region. Those crafts are part of the tradition and are a great legacy of the town.
